One of our top clients, a large, dynamic consulting firm in Boston, is looking to add a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring timely, accurate payroll for employees while supporting various payroll-related processes across the organization. We are looking for someone who brings professional services payroll experience, an understanding of payroll compliance, and hands-on experience with Workday.

Job Description:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for employees across multiple locations
• Utilize Workday to manage payroll inputs for new hires, terminations, benefit changes, and other employee lifecycle events
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of garnishments, deductions, and tax with holdings
• Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and audit preparation
• Partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure payroll compliance and alignment with policies
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, paychecks, and tax documents with professionalism and confidentiality

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll experience
• Workday experience is required
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Experience working in a professional services firm is highly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
