The Global Payroll team processes payroll in 30+ countries for over 7,000 employees, ensuring accurate, on-time pay and high-quality service for paycheck and tax inquiries.
Your TeamPayroll is a core function. This role is based in the United States as a hybrid position with an expected presence in the Boston, MA HQ one day per week. You will work with other multi-country payroll professionals and report directly to the Director, Global Payroll & Equity Administration. You will receive mentorship, guidance, and best practices to grow your global payroll knowledge and take on more responsibilities over time.

The new team member will be the primary owner of North America payrolls, including:
- United States: biweekly payroll, approx. 2,600 employees
- Canada: semi-monthly payroll, approx. 120 employees
- Mexico & Brazil payrolls: semi-monthly payroll, approx. 20 employees
Your tasks include completing new hires, terminations, salary changes, processing bonuses, commissions, stock transactions, and other one-time payments; analyzing data and resolving discrepancies; and maintaining compliance with local legislation.
Your Day-To-Day- Lead and oversee the administration of assigned payrolls, ensuring payrolls are paid accurately and on time
- Ensure payrolls comply with relevant rules and legislation
- Oversee validation and processing of payroll data to external payroll providers
- Collect variable elements from HR and other functions, including bonuses and taxable prizes
- Control and validate payroll; request corrections if needed
- Perform problem and error analysis including period-end validations
- Respond to employee inquiries courteously and promptly
- Streamline and update existing standard work processes
- Assist with reconciliation processes and resolution of payroll discrepancies
- Research and prepare special reports for management and ensure reporting needs are met
- Assist with special projects related to payroll
- Maintain positive working relationships with partners in HR, Accounting, Legal, and Accounts Payable
- Work with cross-functional teams on global finance initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies including local data protection regulations and internal controls
- Adhere to PTC policies and procedures and statutory regulations
- PTC is a publicly traded company and is subject to SOX compliance
- Excel functionality (XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, data validation, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work within strict deadlines
- Strong time management and prioritization
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong communication skills – oral and written
- Ability to work remotely with the team
- Open-minded, flexible, proactive & interactive attitude
- Exposure to Workday HCM preferred
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll
- 2-4 years of United States payroll processing experience
- FPC designation with PAYO (fka APA) preferred
PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $88,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees may have the opportunity to participate in the employee share purchase program (ESPP) and other equity programs.
