Job Description

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Administration, the Human Resources Generalist will support a wide range of human resources functions across the employee lifecycle. This mid-level role is ideal for a self-starter who is passionate about people, process improvement, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Administration (SDA) and staff across the organization to ensure a welcoming, equitable, and compliant work environment while taking ownership of key HR areas including employee relations, talent acquisition, HR compliance and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations and non-escalated conflict resolution, collaborating closely with leadership on related matters
  • Facilitate conversations regarding performance issues, conduct regular check-ins, draft corrective action forms and performance improvement plans (PIPs), collaborate with supervisors to monitor progress, and meet with employees to review development and improvement milestones
  • Manage the full offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews, collecting feedback, ensuring return of organizational property, processing final paperwork, and coordinating final pay and benefits
  • Maintain compliance with legal and organizational requirements throughout the process
  • Partner with the SDA to facilitate performance management cycles and support employee development planning
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment process from job posting to offer, including candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination, reference checks, background check process, while managing the Applicant Tracking System
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and selection criteria, and assist in creating evaluation rubrics to ensure consistency and fairness in the hiring process
  • Lead and coordinate onboarding efforts, focusing on document management, general orientation facilitation, and collaboration with hiring managers to implement effective onboarding plans that create a smooth and welcoming new hire experience
  • Maintain accurate candidate and onboarding records in Paychex
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Maintain and audit employee records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Administration to manage leave of absence programs, accommodations, and compliance reporting
Policy & Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with the SDA to review, develop, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational goals
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to elevate HR service delivery
  • Stay informed on HR trends and recommend best practices
Payroll and Benefits
  • Provide limited backup support to the Senior Director of Administration for biweekly payroll by reviewing timesheets, verifying key employee data, and performing basic deduction and benefits checks
