For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $86,400 - $129,600 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Immigration Consultant will support the organization’s global mobility and immigration needs by coordinating and managing employment-based immigration processes across multiple jurisdictions (US, Canada and Mexico), in partnership with the company’s external immigration law firm. This role works closely with employees, HR partners, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and external counsel to ensure timely and compliant immigration case management. The ideal candidate has foundational experience in corporate immigration, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administration and support of day-to-day operations in partnership with internal stakeholders, external vendors and immigration law firm.
- Support end-to-end coordination of employment-based immigration matters, including but not limited to H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1, PERM, I-140, and Adjustment of Status (as applicable to the company’s geography and workforce).
- Partner closely with external law firm to maintain compliance requirements and manage vendor relationships, to provide outstanding employee experience.
- Lead internal reviews of immigration data, processes, and policies to identify gaps, draft policy and process revisions and ensure audit-readiness.
- Facilitate training and develop resources and tools to educate internal partners on immigration policies, processes, and updates.
- Provide consultations to employees and cross-functional team members (i.e. HR Business Partners, Talent, Mobility, Managers and Leadership) on immigration and global mobility-related matters and give strategic direction to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to execute dependencies related to Global Mobility.
- Monitor progress for all immigration cases in conjunction with external immigration counsel, identify long-term sponsorship issues, and communicate risk to HRBP/talent acquisition/hiring manager.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee immigration questions and process guidance.
- Coordinate communications with external immigration counsel to ensure timely case filings and updates.
- Review case strategies proposed by counsel and elevate issues as needed.
- Support invoice tracking and budget monitoring for immigration services.
- Answer process questions for immigration sponsorship and relocation services from internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Studies, or related field—or equivalent experience.
