About the RoleThe HR Operations Team Lead serves as the operational backbone of our human resources function, focusing on systems, processes, and detail‑oriented execution. The role involves high autonomy and is critical to ensuring accurate and reliable HR operations. The team lead mentors Operations analysts and drives ownership of daily HR transactions across the firm, with a focus on scalable, automated infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Own end‑to‑end HR operational workflows (60%):
Mentor and lead the team responsible for executing scalable processes from onboarding through offboarding, including maintaining high‑quality employee data, proactively closing audit gaps, ensuring audit‑ready processes, communicating system changes, and coordinating handoffs with People Ops, Total Rewards, Finance, and Talent functions. - Enable HR digital transformation (40%):
Partner with Workday Technology, payroll, and finance teams to recommend and lead system upgrades and enhancements to drive scale, automation, and redesign. Support design, configuration, testing, and change management of system implementations.
- 5–10 years of Human Resources Operations experience across HRIS systems, people data, and process design in all HR disciplines (Business Partners, GDEI, Talent Development, People Analytics).
- Proven track record of building or transforming HR technology processes;
Workday experience a plus. - Positive and proactive work ethic; highly organized and results‑oriented; strong attention to detail.
- Systems‑first growth mindset; exceptional operational judgment; agile mindset for continuous evolution and optimization.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, model building).
- Clear, confident communicator who can translate technology nuances into practical business terms.
- Knowledge of global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and respect for data integrity and confidentiality.
