Recruiter – Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Retail Recruiter position with a highly successful consumer goods brand located in Boston, MA. The recruiter will own the full-cycle recruitment process for a high volume of retail hiring, partnering closely with hiring managers to identify, attract, and hire top talent across multiple locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven recruiter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and making a direct impact on business growth.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing multiple searches while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
This is a 4-6+ month contract position that will pay $35-45/hour (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position supports a hybrid work model in their Boston Office.
Responsibilities:Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination.
Recruit for a variety of retail positions, including Store Associates, Key Holders, Assistant Store Managers, Store Managers, District Managers, and Corporate Retail Support roles.
Partner closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, workforce planning, and ideal candidate profiles.
Source top talent through Linked In Recruiter, job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking, career fairs, and other recruiting channels.
Conduct phone and virtual interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
Coordinate interview scheduling and serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive retail talent to support ongoing and future hiring needs.
Extend offers, facilitate compensation discussions, and guide candidates through the offer and onboarding process.
Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience through timely communication and a consultative approach.
Monitor key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, pipeline activity, interview conversion rates, and offer acceptance rates.
Stay current on retail hiring trends, labor market conditions, and competitive recruiting strategies.
Represent the organization at career fairs, recruiting events, and community outreach initiatives.
Provide additional recruiting and talent acquisition support as needed.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
1–3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within retail, staffing, agency recruiting, hospitality, or other high-volume hiring environments.
Experience recruiting for both hourly and salaried retail positions strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success sourcing candidates through Linked In Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, social media, referrals, and other creative sourcing methods.
Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence hiring decisions.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with strong follow-through.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams.
