Manager, Lateral Partner Recruitment

For the Boston, D.C., or New York Office of an International Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the Director and Practice Group Leaders to identify strategic hiring opportunities and coordinate targeted partner outreach initiatives.
• Manage end-to-end lateral partner recruitment process, ensuring a smooth, high-touch candidate experience.
• Manage communication among candidates, recruiters, and firm leadership, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Maintain awareness of legal market developments and manage a robust pipeline of qualified candidates using market intelligence, legal directories, alumni networks, and firm relationships.
• Manage relationships with preferred legal search firms.
• Prepare materials for Management Committee presentations and maintain accurate records in the firm's recruiting CRM/database.

Qualifications include:

• 5-8+ years of experience, including 2+ years in legal recruiting.
• High degree of discretion with sensitive and confidential matters.
• Extensive knowledge of recruiting, law firms, and the practice of law.
• Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative approach to working with others at all levels of seniority.
• Open to technological change as generative AI becomes more integrated into the firm’s practice, actively develops comfort with new tools, and adapts how work is performed to support efficiency and innovation.

Salary: $165k-$206k
