Human Resources Administrative Assistant
We are currently seeking candidates for a Human Resources Administrative Assistant opportunity at a highly successful law firm located in Boston, MA. The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting employee onboarding and offboarding activities, coordinating training schedules with the training manager, providing administrative support to payroll and providing day-to-day employee relations support by responding to routine questions regarding company policies, benefits, procedures, and workplace guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4+ years of Human Resources and administrative support experience in a professional services work environment.
This is a 3-6+ month contract-to-hire role, paying between $40-$50/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work model out of their office in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to payroll, including assistance with 1099 documentation, timekeeping records, and related tasks.
- Coordinate and manage interview scheduling in collaboration with the recruiting team.
- Provide day-to-day employee relations support by responding to routine questions regarding company policies, benefits, procedures, and workplace guidelines.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities in partnership with the Human Resources team.
- Coordinate training schedules with the training manager and work with IT to ensure employees receive appropriate system access.
- Assist employees with benefits information, including explaining available programs to new hires and addressing questions from current staff.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Support the executive team with meeting coordination, scheduling, internal communications, memos, and other administrative needs.
- Assist with executive and meeting logistics, including coordinating conference rooms, preparing materials, recording meeting minutes, and arranging food and refreshments.
- Provide additional support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 2-4+ years of experience in Human Resources and administrative support.
- Demonstrated experience providing HR and general administrative assistance in a professional environment.
- Strong computer and systems proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and professional, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines.
