Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in need of a Cloud Engineer in Boston, MA. Responsibilities:
- Administer and support cloud databases (Snowflake) and data platforms (IICS, Tableau, Cognos, SAS, Git Hub, MOVEit MFT)
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud applications and services
- Manage software installation, access requests, permissions, and data security
- Define and enforce security policies, authentication, and authorization for cloud platforms
- Collaborate with teams to deliver scalable, high-performance cloud data solutions
- Evaluate new cloud products and optimize data storage and processing
- Monitor performance and implement optimization strategies
- Apply data management and governance processes;
Conduct regular system assessments - Provide excellent customer support and ensure timely delivery of solutions
- 3-5 years of experience implementing and supporting AWS cloud-based data solutions
- 5+ years of experience with cloud database platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
- 5+ years of experience in database administration and data warehouse applications on AWS
- 3+ years of experience in cloud data services (IICS, AWS, Git Hub)
- 2+ years of experience installing and configuring applications using cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of cloud network policies and firewall rules
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Experience with Linux shell scripting, user security, and server administration
- Familiarity with data security protocols (encryption/decryption)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience handling sensitive healthcare data;
Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy controls
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. This range may be modified in the future. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
