Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Boston, MA. Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cloud-based data management systems and pipelines (Data Mesh)
• Ensure data security and governance compliance in all solutions
• Collaborate with teams to architect scalable, high-performance cloud data solutions
• Evaluate new cloud products and optimize data storage and processing
• Monitor and improve system performance; implement optimization strategies
• Lead design sessions, review ETL requirements, and guide data layer development
• Integrate data using Informatica (IICS), Snowflake, SQL, and Python
• Document strategies and maintain timely delivery of solutions

• 5+ years in cloud data architecture, warehousing, modeling, ETL, and system engineering
• Expertise in AWS, Snowflake, and large-scale cloud data platforms
• Knowledge of Data Mesh principles, security, and HIPAA compliance
• Strong pipeline development and orchestration (Informatica IICS, Airflow)
• Proficient in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and database/system administration
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
