Joinour Data Governance teamasan
Assistant Director
and make trusted data the foundation of confident business and financial decisions. In this dynamic role, you will set the strategy, operating model, and measurable outcomes for data governance across Finance. You’ll lead cross-functional governance forums, own and mature the enterprise data change management framework for data changes and mature the stewardship model to drive accountability and adoption. You will translate complex technical topics into clear business and finance implications for Senior Leaders, Data Stewards, and Domain Leaders, and you’ll build portfolio-level KPIs and dashboards that drive continuous improvement and risk reduction.

You will also oversee the Finance data catalog at scale—glossary, taxonomy, lineage, critical data elements—while advancing enterprise data practices, embedding controls, and integrating governance tools and workflows. In addition, you will support the implementation of Data Products through alignment with Enterprise Data Practices.

This role calls for strategic thinking, influence across a matrixed organization, and comfort with ambiguity. If you’ve led enterprise governance operating models, administered metadata tooling at scale (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, Alation), and can align executives and cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority, you’ll thrive here.

Responsibilities:
What You’llDo
  • Own and evolve the Finance data governance operating model (policies, standards, roles, workflows, controls) to drive consistent, enterprise-grade practices.
  • Manage and improve governance bodies(e.g., Data Governance Alignment Council) and represent Finance in enterprise forums to align priorities, decisions, and risk management.
  • Governand improve the end-to-end data change management process (intake, triage, impact assessment, communications) to minimize downstream risk.
  • Manage and improve data standards and policies (access, quality, retention, classification, usage) and enforce adherence through governance workflows and reviews.
  • Oversee metadata and catalog capabilities across Finance (taxonomy, business glossary, lineage, critical data elements, stewardship, workflows); onboard new domains/datasets and monitor completeness and quality.
  • Establish and mature the stewardship model; clarify roles, deliver training/certification and self-service documentation, and implement accountability and performance measures.
  • Design and maintain KPI suites and executive dashboards for governance, data quality, and change; use insights to reduce incidents, shorten cycle times, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Deliver executive-ready communications; translate technical changes into business/financial implications and publish notices, playbooks, runbooks, and FAQs.
  • Development of finance data products, including roadmaps, quality and lineage requirements, and adoption metrics, to ensure measurable value delivery.
What Success Looks Like
  • A standardized, well-governed, and widely adopted Enterprise Data Change Management framework that covers data changes across the organization.
  • Clear visibility into upcoming changes, proactive impact assessments, and well-timed releases that consistently safeguard month-end close and financial reporting.
  • High data catalog coverage and adoption—especially across Finance— including a well-defined business glossary, stewardship assignments, lineage for critical data elements, and automated governance workflows embedded in delivery.
  • Stakeholders receive clear, actionable reporting on governance KPIs and upcoming changes, enabling informed decisions and minimizing operational risk.

Ifyou’reexcited to lead the evolution of data governance in Corporate Finance—building trusted data, resilient processes, and clear accountability—come shape the futurewithus.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience are preferred
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without authority and align cross-functional teams.
  • Proven…
