The Business Intelligence (BI) Lead is responsible for transforming complex business needs into actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. This includes aligning on BI strategy, designing, developing, and maintaining systems that collect and analyze business data, creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, enabling informed decision-making within an organization by translating raw data into meaningful information through the use of specialized BI tools and programming languages in collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and other organizational stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Vision:
    Leading the execution of the BI strategy, aligning it with organizational goals, and identifying future capability needs
  • Collaborative Leadership:
    Driving a group of professionals to achieve program goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Data Storytelling:
    Creating compelling narratives from data, presenting complex insights in an understandable and engaging way to diverse audiences, fostering data-driven decision-making
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management:
    Building rapport, managing expectations, fostering collaboration, and resolving conflicts with stakeholders across various departments and organizational levels
  • Program Design:
    Designing, prioritizing, and estimating plans to complete work streams in alignment with agile principles to deliver program goals
  • Data Modeling and ETL:
    Designing data models, developing and managing data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses for analysis
  • Dashboard and Report Development:
    Creating interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize KPIs and trends for different business units
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
    Conducting deep-dive analysis of complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that provide valuable business insights
  • Data Governance:
    Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency by implementing data validation processes and maintaining data governance standards
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in SQL, data warehousing concepts and tools, data visualization solutions, programming languages
  • Security:
    Understanding data security and classification
  • Support:
    Address stakeholder and system support, maintenance, and training needs

Working Conditions
  • Hybrid

    Work Schedule:

    On-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays; remote on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays with occasional in-person meetings

Requirements Education
  • Bachelor in relevant field preferred
Skills And Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with complex data, independently analyzing, interpreting, and delivering insights that drive business decisions
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience leading, designing, and delivering a BI program
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of business processes and KPIs
  • Experience with data warehousing and BI tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
