Senior Data Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help power data-driven healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. You’ll play a key role in designing and scaling modern data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases across clinical, operational, and business teams.

This is a hybrid role based in the Greater Boston area, with an expectation of being onsite 2–3 days per week to collaborate with cross-functional partners.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines for structured and unstructured healthcare data
• Develop and optimize data models and warehouses to support analytics and BI initiatives
• Partner with clinical, product, and operations teams to translate business needs into data solutions
• Implement data quality, governance, and validation frameworks to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Work with large healthcare datasets including claims, EHR/EMR, and patient data
• Improve pipeline performance, cost efficiency, and reliability in cloud environments
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to data engineering best practices

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong SQL and proficiency in Python or Scala
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as:
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Data warehouses:
  Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, or similar
• Orchestration:
  Airflow, Prefect, or similar
• Transformation tools: dbt or Spark
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale
• Solid understanding of data modeling and warehousing principles
• Experience working with sensitive or regulated data (HIPAA or healthcare data strongly preferred)

• Experience working in the healthcare industry (clinical, claims, patient, or operational data)
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards, regulations, or compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
• Experience supporting analytics, BI, or machine learning workloads
