Cloud Computing, Sales Engineer
As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll serve as the technical quarterback for strategic accounts, translating business challenges into AI-native infrastructure solutions. You’ll work closely with our Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as directly with enterprise clients to drive adoption, architect solutions, and ensure post-sale success. This is a role based in the Boston area. Think of it as part Pre-Sales Architect, part Field CTO, part Trusted Advisor.
You will also play a strategic role in building the Boston territory alongside Sales and have the opportunity to help define our GTM playbook in a greenfield region.
- Partner with Sales on discovery calls, technical validation, and POCs, helping shape clear business value justification for each engagement.
- Act as a strategic partner in territory development, helping shape pre-sales motions and customer engagement strategy in the Boston metro region.
- Support deal qualification and technical discovery in alignment with structured methodologies like MEDDICC/MEDDPICC.
- Design, prototype, and deliver tailored solutions across AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms.
- Serve as the customer’s technical point of contact during the entire sales lifecycle.
- Lead technical workshops and demos to showcase the Genesis platform.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape our roadmap based on real-world feedback.
- Stay ahead of market trends and help shape our technical messaging.
- 5+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Field CTO, or Dev Advocate role, ideally at a high-growth cloud, AI, or data company.
- Fluency in SQL, with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse experience.
- Proven ability to speak fluently with both engineers and executives.
- Familiarity with GenAI architectures, vector databases, and LLM pipelines is a strong plus.
- Experience working with financial services clients and understanding their regulatory/data constraints is a plus.
- Bonus:
Background in building custom integrations, AI agents, or orchestration pipelines. - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Equally comfortable with deep technical dives or high-level executive briefings; able to tailor communication to varied stakeholders.
- Curious, coachable, and deeply customer-obsessed.
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Can translate abstract technical ideas into clear, impactful narratives.
