Upstream is looking for a talented Sales Director to join the Upstream sales team and focus on developing our presence in key accounts throughout North America. This is a full-time, US-based role in a remote-first organization—preferred candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone.
Responsibilities- Act as an advocate and ambassador of Upstream enterprise accounts.
- Carry out lead generation and sales activities following a structured complex solution enterprise selling approach to maximize value for both clients and Upstream.
- Maintain active relationships with existing customer representatives, remain aware of satisfaction levels, facilitate agreement renewals, and expansions.
- As a quota carrier, devise and deploy a business plan to meet or exceed set targets. Where gaps are identified, initiate timely communication of the need for additional resources and dependencies.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues across departments and guide their efforts based on an understanding of Upstream’s strengths and customers’ priorities.
- Proven experience selling API security, application security, or related cybersecurity solutions into large enterprise organizations.
- Strong familiarity with API security and cloud-native environments.
- Proven track record of success selling enterprise cybersecurity solutions into large accounts, focusing on CISOs and IT/Operations executives.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate a virtual team of solutions and subject matter experts across different countries.
- Experience working in high-growth agile startup/scaleup organizations.
- Driven by high-level goals that translate into timely actions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% as needed.
