We are hiring an IT Business Applications Manager to lead the strategy, modernization, and operational excellence of the business application ecosystem during a critical transformation period.
The OpportunityThis role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can balance strategy with execution. You will lead a team of developers, partner with business stakeholders, oversee third-party vendors, and help guide enterprise system upgrades and modernization efforts.
Your first 180 days will focus on:- Gaining a deep understanding of the organization, operations, and manufacturing environment
- Ramping up on ERP systems, Change Advisory Board (CAB), Change Management (CM), Release Management (RM), and CMMC frameworks
- Developing and executing a 180-day go-forward plan aligned to enterprise objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application developers
- Set clear priorities, timelines, and delivery expectations across multiple initiatives
- Oversee third-party vendors, consultants, and managed service providers
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Define and execute the business applications roadmap aligned with company goals
- Partner with IT leadership on ERP upgrades, migrations, and system modernization
- Implement best practices across SDLC, Agile/hybrid delivery, documentation, and QA
- Evaluate scope, cost, feasibility, and resource planning for new initiatives
- Act as the primary liaison between business units and IT
- Translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Lead requirements gathering, functional specs, SOWs, and user documentation
- Identify process improvement, automation, and integration opportunities
- Establish and maintain change management standards (CAB, CM, RM)
- Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and audit requirements
- Maintain architecture and licensing documentation
- Support vendor selection, evaluations, and contract renewals
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8–10+ years in business application development, systems analysis, or software engineering
- 3–5+ years leading technical teams
- Strong knowledge of ERP, integrations, databases, and modern application architectures
- Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
- Experience in manufacturing or multi-site environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, API-driven integrations, and low-code tools
- Experience in regulated or audit-driven environments (SOC, SOX, CMMC)
- A strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves
- A communicator who can align technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A leader who inspires teams during system transitions and modernization efforts
- Results-driven with a focus on business outcomes and ROI
