SAP aATP Principal Architect

Job Summary

As an Associate Director, you will provide strategic leadership and functional expertise across SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Advanced Available‑to‑Promise (aATP) programs for large, complex enterprise clients. This role requires deep SAP domain experience, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to lead global delivery teams in an onsite–offshore model. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT leaders, driving solution strategy, governance, and execution while ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and enterprise transformation objectives.

• Provide strategic and functional leadership for SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and aATP programs at an Associate Director level.
• Lead end-to-end SAP aATP initiatives, including requirements definition, solution architecture, configuration strategy, and blueprinting.
• Own and govern complex aATP process design and execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise business objectives and SAP best practices.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, driving strong customer engagement and executive-level communication.
• Lead global delivery teams within an onsite–offshore model, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely execution.
• Define and review high-quality functional deliverables, including business process designs, solution blueprints, functional specifications, and test strategies.
• Oversee and support testing phases, including unit testing, system integration testing, and UAT, ensuring solution readiness.
• Mentor and guide senior consultants and leads across SD and aATP work streams.

• 20+ years of overall SAP experience, with deep expertise across Sales & Distribution and advanced ATP capabilities.
• 9+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP aATP, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, and blueprinting (application support–only experience does not qualify).
• 10+ years of extensive experience in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD).
• Strong functional mastery of SAP aATP processes, including:
  • Product Allocations
  • Back Order Processing
  • Product Availability Check
  • Alternate-Based Substitution
  • Supply Protection
• Proven experience leading SAP SD and aATP programs at a Lead, Architect, or Associate Director level.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with senior business and IT stakeholders, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Extensive experience working in an onsite–offshore delivery model, leading distributed global teams.
• Strong documentation and governance capabilities, including:
  • Business Process Design (BPD)
  • Blueprint documents
  • Functional Specifications
  • Test strategies and scripts (Unit, Integration, and UAT)
• In‑depth knowledge of SAP best practices across Sales & Distribution and aATP, including enterprise‑scale implementations.

• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA transformations involving advanced ATP and supply chain integrations.
• Familiarity with process modeling and delivery tools such as Signavio, WRIKE, or similar platforms.
• Prior experience managing large, complex client engagements or multi‑program SAP portfolios.
• Strong people leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, and talent development.

• This is a remote role with Milestone travel to Boston, MA
