We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Insurance Now Technical Lead role with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Insurance Now, Velocity 1.7, Java 8, Webservices and Guidewire with a preference for those with domain experience in Property & Casualty Insurance. With a hybrid work model and day shifts, you will play a crucial role in enhancing product architecture and contributing to the company’s success.
Responsibilities- Design and implement robust product architectures that align with business goals and technical requirements in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HTML, Velocity 1.7, Webservices and Java 8 technologies.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes to support long-term business objectives.
- Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting to address technical challenges and ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the Property & Casualty Insurance sector.
- Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance product offerings and maintain competitive advantage.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Analyze and optimize existing systems to improve efficiency and performance, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation to support product architecture and design processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of API and Guidewire technologies into project deliverables.
- Monitor project progress identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope objectives and deliverables ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Display a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
- Showcase strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status challenges and achievements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in project management and technology implementation.
- Foster a collaborative team environment encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements.
- Manage project documentation ensuring accuracy and accessibility for future reference and audits.
- Support the development and implementation of training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Evaluate project outcomes and provide feedback to stakeholders to inform future project planning and execution.
- Possess a strong background in Doc Origin, Adobe Output Designer, HTML, Velocity 1.7, Java 8, and Insurance Now.
- Demonstrate expertise in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain, with a deep understanding of industry trends and challenges.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Showcase strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
- Display a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
- Hold a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 9 years of experience in product architecture or a related role, with a maximum of 12 years of experience.
The annual salary for this position is between $120-155K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
