The Manager of Platform Engineering & identity Security ensures reliable operation, administration, and continuous improvement of the firm's platform applications as well as supporting corporate identity access and provisioning technologies. This role involves supervising a team of technical professionals, overseeing daily support and project responsibilities, ensuring reliable service delivery, and implementing best practices to enhance interoperability, system integration, and enhancing the user identity platform.

The manager balances operational excellence with people leadership to support organizational technology objectives, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

• Manage a team comprised of Platform Engineers as well as Identity application technical staff, including hiring, training and development, performance management, and compensation recommendations.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and mentoring to team members to support professional growth.

• Oversee daily operations of supported platform team and Identity Security services team. This includes but is not limited to Messaging/runtime environments, Linux and windows-based platform applications, workload scheduling platform, file transfer platform and identity security provisioning platforms. Other occasional work supporting other teams, cloud teams and helping with provisioning/de-provisioning, SSO, MFA, RBAC.
• Ensure timely delivery of incident resolution, service requests, and projects that are small team to large enterprise corporate projects.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and access management policies.
• Ensure platform applications are highly monitored, provide continuous review and enhancements for operational efficiencies, forecast strategic roadmaps and visions and provide reliable goals and design models.

• Contribute to the development of roadmaps and migration strategies for Platform engineering and Identity Security platforms.
• Support project delivery by assigning resources, engaging business resource needs, defining stories and tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring on-time execution with routine executive summaries and updates.
• Partner with peer architects and senior managers on initiatives involving cloud integration, enhanced monitoring, orchestration initiatives, agile project development and other key corporate enhancements.

• Support risk management efforts by embedding security and access controls into service delivery.
• Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance for best practices for tasks and controls assigned to the team.

• Maintain and enforce team documentation, operational dashboards, and reliable metrics for tracking service performance and project outcomes.
• Coordinate vendor interactions and assist in monitoring costs and budget adherence.

• Perform additional responsibilities assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 6-8+ years of experience in middleware and/or IAM technologies, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Expert knowledge of middleware platforms (e.g., application servers, integration tools) and IAM solutions (e.g., Azure AD, SailPoint).
• Strong understanding of IT service management (incident, change, problem).
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop staff, manage performance, and allocate resources effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly across technical and business stakeholders.
