DevOps Engineer

Staff Dev Ops Engineer | Series C SaaS | NYC | San Francisco | Boston | $240k | GCP

Salary: $220,000 - $240,000 Base + Benefits

A rapidly growing Series C SaaS company in the AI space is seeking a Staff Dev Ops Engineer to serve as a technical leader in building and architecting the software, systems, and automation infrastructure that powers its products. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and developer experience, partnering closely with engineering teams to drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and own critical systems that enable reliable, scalable delivery.

You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor across the organization, architecting and implementing solutions that impact all of engineering.

• Establish and maintain scalable, reliable, secure, and developer-friendly systems and infrastructure.
• Develop software and systems to enhance developer experience.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify and implement solutions that improve product reliability, quality, and time-to-market.
• Collaborate with Security to ensure system security and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead complex technical initiatives and drive organizational improvements across teams.
• Mentor Dev Ops and Software Engineers through design reviews and technical guidance.
• Work with engineering leadership to set technical direction and best practices for infrastructure, observability, and CI/CD.
• Maintain high standards for system architecture and design while prioritizing simplicity.
• Participate in periodic on-call duties as required.

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Dev Ops, SRE, or Platform Engineering with increasing scope and impact.
• Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with GCP including architecture, deployment, and scaling of production systems. Bonus if you have worked also with AWS or Azure as well.
• Dev Ops Practices: Proven experience with observability, automation, performance engineering, and CI/CD in cloud environments.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Git Ops tools (e.g., ArgoCD).
• Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with Terraform and Crossplane.

• Programming: Proficiency in one or more languages (

• Networking & Security: Experience with API Gateway or Service Mesh, implementing SSO, and RBAC for secure access control.

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or something relatable
• Startup experience. Understanding of hypergrowth in a recently funded company
