Platform Architect; Founding Technical Leader

SOZI AI is building The Final Stretch™, a challenge-based digital health platform boosting awareness and prevention of colorectal cancer among the youth (preferably ages 16–22).

We sit at the intersection of preventive oncology, behavioral science, and gamified education. Our MVP has demonstrated early engagement, and we are now transitioning to scalable production infrastructure in preparation for institutional pilots and accelerator funding. We are hiring a Founding Platform Architect to design and build the technical foundation for national scale.

You will architect and implement the production infrastructure powering:

• Paid institutional pilots

• RDS (Postgre
  
  SQL) for relational data
• Cognito for authentication
• API Gateway + Lambda for backend services
• Elasticache (Redis) for session/leader board caching
• Multi-tenant architecture for institutions
• Role-based access control (Student, Educator, Admin)
• Audit logging and analytics pipelines
• Usage tracking for institutional billing

• Admin configuration tools for pilots

• FERPA-conscious architecture
• Encryption at rest and in transit

This role carries CTO-level scope with deep technical ownership.

• Strong AWS production experience & strong experience building and deploying production backend systems on AWS
• Startup experience preferred
• Health or edtech experience is a plus

• Deployment of a production-grade AWS environment
• Migration from MVP infrastructure to scalable architecture
• Launch of multi-tenant institutional system
• Technical enablement of first paid pilot
• Architecture capable of supporting 5,000+ concurrent users

This is an early-stage role with meaningful founding-level equity participation. Equity will be structured through standard startup agreements and finalized upon board approval and adoption of the company equity plan. Salary expected post-funding.
