About the OpportunityOur client, a leader in Investment Management, is looking for a skilled Senior Scrum Master to join their team for an initial contract through the end of the year engagement. This project involves supporting key investment operations and engineering teams within a highly regulated multi-strategy investment firm managing over $100 billion in assets. You will be instrumental in driving Agile maturity and delivering on critical financial objectives.
This is a high-impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring full team engagement.
- Actively coach team members on Agile practices, values, growth mindset, and continuous improvement, regularly assessing and elevating the team's Agile maturity.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner(s) to maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog that is prepared for execution.
- Anticipate, address, and remove impediments to team productivity, and proactively shield the team from external interference.
- Provide guidance and coaching to various organizational positions (directors, managers, product owners, team members) that interact with the team, and effectively work with and challenge offshore engineering teams.
- 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile leadership role.
- Deep expertise in Investment Operations/Financial Services, with demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment managing financial data. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Extensive, practical experience with Agile frameworks. Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices is a plus, but a focus on real‑world application and challenging the status quo is essential.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
