Senior Project Manager​/Scrum Master, PMO

• 5+ years of life insurance industry experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master in a software development environment
• 7-10 years of project/program management experience, successfully managing multiple concurrent projects from initiation through production roll out with PMP and Scrum Master certifications

This role requires a flexible, experienced delivery leader who can successfully operate in a bimodal environment, supporting both Agile and traditional SDLC projects, as needed.

The Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master is responsible for managing and facilitating the planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and customer onboarding for cross functional, high profile projects and programs that support MIB’s strategic goals and objectives. This role must be able to partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives, technology solutions, and delivery execution. Experience in delivering technological initiatives within the life insurance is preferred.

This role represents the PMO and serves as a trusted partner across the organization.

• Highly organized, detail oriented, and process driven delivery leader with a strong ability to manage complexity across multiple concurrent initiatives
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to technical and non technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to partner closely with business leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, outcomes, and delivery expectations
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions forward
• Demonstrated experience operating in hybrid and bimodal delivery environments, supporting both Agile and traditional SDLC projects
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and modern software development practices
• Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams, and promote continuous improvement and increasing Agile maturity
• Experience leveraging delivery metrics and dashboards (e.g., burndown, velocity, throughput) to drive transparency and informed decision making
• Proven team builder with strong facilitation, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to influence without authority and build trust across cross functional teams and senior leadership
• Strong experience managing delivery risks, cross team dependencies, and mitigation strategies
• Experience managing project financials, including forecasting, budget tracking, and variance reporting
• Ability to support organizational change and stakeholder adoption through effective communication and delivery readiness
• Experience delivering solutions in regulated or compliance driven environments, with attention to governance and auditability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Tempo is highly desirable

• PMP (Project Management Professional) – strongly desired
• Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent) – strongly desired
