We are excited to be expanding our Life Science Data Governance group in our Boston/Cambridge offices. We are looking for a Senior Data Governance/Management Leader to join or lead our Life Science Data Governance Group.

Our Life Science Data Governance Group overseesmission critical Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Analytics programs.

Thisgroupis responsible for effective and consistent Data Management of our client’s critical data assets.

At Arrayo, we make data management more efficient and transparent, so that data assets are available and accessible for advanced analytics, and so that the inherent value of data assets can be realized more readily. Arrayo assists top tier clients in life sciences and financial technologies in establishing effective DG/DM frameworks and strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Significant interactions with senior stakeholders in addition to opportunities to own deliverables.
  • Develop business cases for utilization of specific data assets relevant for key business use cases.
  • Improve accessibility of relevant data assets and provide better definition of current metadata model for data and for data/information flows.
  • Define the generic components of DG/DM ecosystem components in a complex environment.
  • Define key strategic guidelines for implementation of DG/DM ecosystem components.
  • Governance – Establish the DG strategy and the creation and adoption of enterprise data governance policies and standards.
  • Identify and index the relevant data assets.
  • Identify and index the processing of and information flow between those data assets.
  • Understand a wide variety of complex business cases for utilizing these data assets in the life sciences.
  • Ultimately define a model to capture the metadata for these data assets and information flows.
  • Identify and benchmark tools for metadata management.
  • Integrate reference data sets with internal data sets.
  • Define general guidelines for metadata capture and utilization for data assets and information flow.
  • Define general guidelines usage of data assets based on business cases.
  • Provide guidelines for and set priorities for implementing such guidelines and DG/DM components.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant data governance/management or knowledge engineering/ management plus a Bachelors in a related field is required, Master’s & PhD preferred.
  • Data governance expertise in life sciences, pharmaceutical, health care, or other relevant regulated environments.
  • Knowledge in the wide range of R&D processes, and data management tools/ applications used in Life Science R&D.
  • Knowledge engineering experience both hands on and strategy.
  • Metadata definition and handling.
  • Deep understanding of data flow and data transformations.
  • Relevant data management in the health care and life sciences.
  • General understanding and experience with ontologies.
  • Excellent business analysis skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including technical writing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Project, SharePoint).
  • Previous experience in Business / Data Analytics / Operations / Controls / Systems Analysis / Quality Assurance
  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements and generating process documentation.
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
  • Highly self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Creative and independent scientific thinking to solve complex technical and scientific problems. Capable of integrating information generated from multiple sources to shape and strengthen research hypotheses.
  • Ability to work independently yet team oriented. Capable of building strong relationships with peers, partners outside of function and customers.
