SECURITY ANALYST II, IS&T Information Security

Salary Grade: $71,700 - $86,000

• Monitor, analyze, and process security events to identify and protect university assets.
• Help process results from vulnerability scans to help mitigate risk.
• Assist with maintaining security procedures to ensure they remain current.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Take part in an on‑call duty cycle, monitoring tools and providing 24x7 availability to respond to security events when needed.

• Demonstrated interest and 2 or more years of experience in the cyber security field.
• Familiarity with one or more security tools such as SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection software, firewalls.
• Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, DMCA, and NIST. (Bonus: willingness to learn if these are not met.)

• Experience using Service Now.
• Certificates: ITIL, one or more relevant GIAC, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications.
