Desktop Support Engineer – Financial Services – Boston, MA
Daley And Associates is currently seeking candidates for a Desktop Support Engineer position located in Boston, MA. This role is with an industry‑leading financial services firm where the Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting and sustaining mobile and desktop hardware, software, and user‑functionality on an everyday basis. This is an on‑site position, 5 days per week.
Target base salary range: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00
Responsibilities- Analyze problems, propose resolutions, and ensure implementation.
- Participation in a ticketing system, such as logging, assigning, troubleshooting, and escalating tickets for hardware, software, and application concerns.
- Deliver resolutions in a timely manner via telephone, email, or face‑to‑face meetings.
- Identify the source of the problem and categorize the level, priority, and nature.
- Develop and implement all facets of imaging, such as antivirus systems, system rollouts, end‑user application maintenance, patching, licenses, and systems orientation for new hires.
- Integrate and test patches and upgrades.
- Document procedures, standards, best practices, configurations, settings, installation sequences, and back‑out instructions; ensure documents are kept up to date.
- Lead other IT resources to assist in problem‑solving as needed.
- BS in Computer Science or related area of study.
- 2+ years of technical support experience in a white‑glove environment.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Windows 10, Apple iOS and macOS, Active Directory and Exchange account management, MS Office 365, Atlassian/JIRA Cloud, and common end‑user software suites, end‑user hardware, printers, laptops, mobile device management, and desktop imaging systems.
- End‑user support experience within a professional services environment; financial services is a plus.
- Experience with O365/Intune administration, Atlassian Cloud, and SharePoint.
- Strong technical background with the ability to resolve IT‑related issues.
