Project Manager, Systems Engineer

Position: Project Manager (50%)

Project Manager for an upcoming project. The need is immediate, so curious if you have candidates with the required skill set.

• Required skills or background Familiarity with high performance compute or AWS in general

• Project scope Goal is to retire BOS and SAN on premise HPC and migrate both compute and data to cloud to a standard environment

• Duration and capacity 50% time for 6 months

• Target start date Mid June

In scope for 2026:

Execute the CryoEM pilot to validate the cloud HPC migration approach under end of life constraints.

Complete internal and external planning to define non negotiable enterprise requirements, research exceptions, and security remediation boundaries.

Establish a confirmed, executable migration plan with AWS, including workflow mapping and data migration strategy.

Produce a shovel ready proposal for executive endorsement, funding, and dedicated resourcing aligned to research AI strategy.

Prepare the program for mobilization by validating feasibility, scope, and readiness through formal stage gates.
