In the Quality Assurance team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced QA candidate, our goal is to focus on QA processes, procedures and oversee the testing of Data warehouse or Database of an application. Able to assess software quality through data testing with experience in organizing and controlling the testing process, ensuring visibility, traceability, and delivering high-quality software. Working closely with all the stakeholders and teams and ensuring that they meet the required standards for reliability, accuracy, and security and drive expertise in manual testing strategies that exist within our insurance ecosystem.
The successful candidate will secure an opportunity to work with foremost experts in ensuring effective delivery of high-quality data.
QA team lead is also responsible for developing and implementing fixes and improvements, working with their team and with others in the organization to deploy updates and resolve issues that arise during the QA process. You will showcase tactful people skills and articulate communication skills.
Key Objectives and Major Responsibilities- Train and mentor QA testers, improving all aspects of their understanding.
- Lead assigned projects to ensure quality, timely delivery, and people management.
- Play an essential role in understanding requirements from BA and defining test strategies.
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of features and testing scope.
- Identify test requirements from specifications and design test coverage plan.
- Work with other teams and make sure to follow standards and best practices.
- Collect information from team and communicate status as needed to management.
- Ensure tickets are prioritized and resolved in a timely manner.
- Accelerate a high‑quality SDLC by collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Contribute to organisational values by actively engaging in the larger learning and development process.
- Drive concise, structured, and effective communication with peers and clients.
- Strong understanding of testing concepts and QA methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of ETL testing/MSBI suite.
- Experience with performing compliance testing, quality control/assurance processes or internal/external audits.
- Ability to understand bugs, troubleshoot them and take part in defect triage calls to make decisions.
- Familiar with Agile framework.
- Maintain different test metrics and share reports with management.
- Ability to log defects in different defect management tools like JIRA, Azure Dev Ops and create reports.
- Understanding of user behaviour, ability to learn user experience and communicate user scenarios.
- Excellent judgment and analytical skills.
- In‑depth understanding of industry standards and company policies.
- Ability to be highly effective as a remote employee on a distributed team and contribute to an inclusive, open, and collaborative workplace.
- Good customer focus, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Exhibits strong leadership skills and ability to learn new tools and technology as per project requirements.
- Strong writing, networking, and communication style with the ability to formulate professional emails, presentations, and documents.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to the team with minimum supervision.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of demonstrable experience in testing as QA Lead or similar role in data testing.
- Experienced in reviewing and analysing system specifications, BRDS, use cases, scripts and more.
- Demonstrable experience building strong client/on‑site stakeholder relationships.
- Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB, AINS 24, Azure data, advanced SQL, are preferred.
- Handled multiple projects at a time with good exposure to client interaction.
- Team handling experience as it’s a Lead + IC role.
- Highly technical person with recognizable insurance experience.
