Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (Remote)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Business Analyst to support our end client, Empower, in delivering cutting-edge financial applications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of business acumen and technical expertise, particularly in financial services, authentication protocols, strong SQL/data analysis, and understanding of UI/UX layers.
This role is fully remote and requires someone capable of bridging business requirements with technical implementations across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, QA, and stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and priorities.
- Collaborate on financial workflows, including transaction processing, portfolio reporting, and financial compliance.
- Analyze and model data using SQL to support reporting, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions related to authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth2, SAML, MFA) and user access flows.
- Review and validate UI/UX designs to ensure alignment with business needs and technical feasibility.
- Support testing and QA efforts, including the creation of test cases and participation in UAT.
- Assist in project planning and status reporting.
- 8+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar hybrid technical-functional role.
- Strong understanding of financial services or fintech domain - preferably with retirement plans, investment platforms, or banking applications.
- Experience working with authentication protocols such as OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Advanced skills in SQL - able to write complex queries and interpret datasets across relational databases.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles, wireframes, and front-end integration processes.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Postman.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and front-end/backend architecture.
