Systems Analyst, IT Project Manager
Position Summary
Oversees a team of analysts responsible for the coordination, training, and implementation of Epic Radiant and other clinical applications (e.g., Powerscribe). The primary responsibility is to ensure that applications are well supported and that implementations are properly executed to meet organizational standards.
The Team Lead must possess a thorough understanding of medical terminology, technology, and clinical workflows. As an assigned application and department liaison, this position coordinates training, troubleshooting, configuration, and error resolution for new and existing applications. The Team Lead works closely with end‑users and ITS management staff to manage the development and implementation of new features and functions. The Team Lead partners with assigned departments to identify user requirements, utilize available technologies, develop detailed interface and conversion specifications, and recommend software solution options.
For large‑scale projects, this role takes the lead in the development and implementation of new features or enhancements. For other projects, the role provides oversight and project management to a team of analysts.

- Supervise a team of analysts that provide day‑to‑day support of assigned applications.
- Ensure support procedures are clearly documented and kept up to date.
- Develop support practices that promote high availability of systems while maximising system capabilities.
- Provide on‑call support when needed.
- Identify, triage, and resolve issues.
- Perform routine system maintenance activities.
- Maintain good working relationships with vendors and vendor support personnel.
- Collaborate with assigned departments to integrate ITS support work with local departmental initiatives.
- Facilitate resolution of application issues, user concerns, or production support issues proactively.
- Manage relationships between technical teams, departmental owners, outside vendors, or service providers to communicate production issues.
- Update ITS management as needed.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify production problems, develop corrective action plans, test and implement solutions with appropriate user involvement.
- Coordinate the development of systems or manual workarounds in various business areas.
- Present solutions to ITS management and document issue resolution.
- Maintain ongoing communication until resolution is reached.
- Plan, manage, and oversee projects as the Team Lead, utilizing recognized project management methodology, including activities such as project summary development, status reporting, feasibility and cost‑benefit studies, requirements definition, system testing/quality assurance, training, implementation, post‑implementation support, project administration, and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Epic Radiant certification required.
- Five years of information systems experience as a senior clinical/business analyst or project manager required.
- Demonstrated management ability.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and conceptual skills.
- Strong software and application knowledge with basic knowledge of relevant technologies and operating systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to supervise all aspects of day‑to‑day operations and support.
- Solid understanding of business environment and operations.
- Ability to identify complex problems, their probable causes, impact on operations, report to appropriate parties, offer solutions, and decide on optimal action while exercising judgment and realistic understanding of issues.
- Ability to independently and/or collaboratively bring problems to complete resolution.
- Close attention to detail, ability to carefully monitor processes, and organize and maintain a system of records.
