Responsibilities- Collaborate with Product and Technology teams in Fund Administration to craft architectures that enhance customer experience, optimize costs, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of architecture, software engineering, cloud technologies, and data engineering to define target architectures, patterns, and processes.
- Design for functional and non‑functional qualities, including availability, resiliency, security, privacy, and more.
- Manage pragmatic modernization and lead conceptual, solution, and component‑level architectures along with associated artifacts.
- Apply Human‑Centered Design / UX principles in architecture design.
- Develop reference architecture and reference implementation patterns.
- Mentor and grow other technologists within the firm.
- Contribute to or lead definition of standards, guidance, and points‑of‑view that enable engineers to thrive and promote cross‑enterprise thinking.
- Present architecture and innovative ideas to executive leadership for alignment and key decision making.
- 8‑10 years in a similar role in a Financial Services company.
- Enterprise‑level engineering or architecture experience delivering integrated solutions.
- Experience with and knowledge of common architecture patterns and models.
- Ability to own architecture and influence strategic direction and vision for the future.
- Understanding of Fund Administration and Transfer Agent business domains.
- Desire to develop architectures that meet current and anticipated business needs.
- Ability to evaluate new technologies and stay abreast of latest industry trends.
- Strong judgment and the ability to handle high‑pressure situations.
- Experience with data and application integration approaches (APIs, messaging, streaming, sync/async).
- Experience addressing operational and non‑functional concerns such as scalability, performance, maintainability, load distribution, resilience, recovery, security, and privacy.
- Experience with Cloud Native Architecture and Infrastructure Patterns.
- Knowledge of the enterprise technology space: languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends.
- Ability to devise, develop and apply innovative technology to solutions that benefit clients.
- Clear communication skills and expertise in interfacing with engineers and executives.
- Experience managing architecture governance boards and collaborating with other architects and engineers.
- Strong software engineering and/or architecture background is required.

Salary range for Canada: $113,260 to $210,340 CAD (dependent on local market conditions). For the U.S. position in Boston, Massachusetts, expected salary range is $ to $ USD. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
