Ndimensions Labs - Boston, MA
Summer Internship (Full-time)
Ndimensions Labs is a group of technologists from MIT, the University of Waterloo, and the University of Washington, focused on building the infrastructure and learning systems behind next-generation robotics AI. We are developing agents that learn from large-scale multimodal data and improve through iterative fine-tuning, evaluation, and feedback.
The RoleWe are looking for a motivated AI Intern to join our AI team for the summer. You will work directly alongside researchers and engineers on core problems in robotics AI, including data collection, model training, and evaluation of robotics policies and algorithms.
This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to real systems and experiments that push forward the capabilities of embodied AI agents.
What You'll Do- Assist with large-scale data collection and curation for robotics model training (real-world and simulation).
- Help train and fine-tune multimodal models (vision, language, and vision-language-action) for embodied tasks.
- Run evaluations and ablation studies on robotics policies and algorithms.
- Analyze model performance, identify failure modes, and propose improvements.
- Build and maintain tooling for experiment tracking, data pipelines, and evaluation benchmarks.
- Collaborate with the broader AI and systems teams on experiment design and iteration.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field.
- Solid foundation in machine learning and deep learning concepts.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, Tensor Flow, or JAX).
- Interest in robotics, computer vision, or multimodal learning.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience with robotics simulation environments (e.g., Mu Jo Co , Isaac Sim, Gazebo).
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or policy optimization.
- Prior experience with data annotation, labeling pipelines, or dataset engineering.
- Coursework or projects in computer vision, NLP, or multimodal systems.
- Duration:
Summer 2025 (approximately 12 weeks). - Type:
Full-time internship. - Equal Opportunity Statement:
Ndimensions Labs is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
Please include links to relevant work (coursework, projects, repositories, or demos).
