Job Description & How to Apply Below

Your Impact

As the Controllership AI & Automation Transformation Lead, you will lead and deliver targeted AI, analytics, and automation initiatives that improve speed, quality, and scalability of Controllership processes. You will own discrete projects/work streams end‑to‑end, partner closely with Accounting, IT/Engineering, and Internal Audit, and deliver measurable results.

What You'll Do

Location: Boston, MA office

Reports to: Director, Chief of Staff (Controllership)

  • Define the AI transformation roadmap for Controllership.
  • Identify and prioritize high‑value automation/AI opportunities across Controllership processes.
  • Define project scope, requirements, and success metrics; build ROI cases.
  • Partner with Finance Systems / IT / Engineering to deliver solutions using automation, analytics, and AI/LLM-enabled tooling.
  • Build and validate analytics to ensure outputs are accurate, explainable, and auditable.
  • Present transformation outcomes to leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive project execution: timelines, risks, dependencies, stakeholder updates, UAT coordination, rollout planning, and post‑launch stabilization.
  • Serve as internal advisor on AI governance and adoption.
  • Create documentation that supports SOX/audit readiness.
  • Support change management: training, playbooks, and adoption monitoring.
  • Stay current on AI capabilities and propose pragmatic pilots that improve finance outcomes.
What Success Looks Like
  • Build and deliver a combination of high‑impact solutions (2‑4 larger production‑grade improvements per year) and enable others to build dozens of smaller improvements.
  • Reduce manual effort in a targeted process by 15‑40% (or a defined hours/month goal) while maintaining or improving control quality.
  • Improve close readiness for scoped areas (fewer late adjustments, fewer deal‑review escalations, reduced cycle time).
  • Zero high‑severity audit/control findings attributable to the implemented automation/AI workflow.
What You Bring
  • 6+ years experience delivering measurable business results through data analytics, automation, and/or process transformation in Finance, Accounting, Rev Ops, or adjacent functions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using business intelligence tools.
  • Experience using AI tooling to generate solutions for Accounting/Finance problems.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance.
  • Working knowledge of accounting processes and ability to partner effectively with Controllership stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project/program management capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Sound judgment around governance, risk, and controls when introducing automation/AI.
  • Experience with Salesforce, D365, Microsoft Power Platform, or similar finance/CRM ecosystems.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing LLM‑supported workflows.
  • Experience in high‑growth, hardware+software, or multi‑element arrangement environments.
  • Experience guiding non‑technical teams to technical solutions.
  • CPA or equivalent; BS in Accounting/Finance or related field is a plus.
