Overview
Guardian is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Insights and Reporting Lead, Group Benefits. In this role, you will support the Group Benefits Underwriting team on all business insights and analytics needs. This is a visible role where you will have the opportunity to make an impact and work directly with leadership. You will report to the Head of Finance for Underwriting & Operations, Group Benefits.
Responsibilities- Identify and report underwriting and in‑force book insights including persistency, rate, pricing and profitability.
- Build scalable reporting packages and metrics that matter.
- Develop and present executive‑level insights, identify emerging trends and communicate operational and financial impacts.
- Use PowerPoint, Tableau and Excel to tell data stories and deliver high‑quality products on time.
- Manage priorities while keeping focus and delivering on schedule.
- Partner cross‑functionally to achieve shared business objectives.
- Maintain strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency.
- 8+ years of progressive underwriting analytics experience within Group Insurance (a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Deep understanding of the underwriting value chain and demonstrable business acumen.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Tableau skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and project‑management skills.
- Ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights and communicate compelling recommendations to leaders.
- Trusted advisor who can lead conversations with leadership and influence.
Hybrid: 3 days in a Guardian office located in Hudson Yards, NYC;
Boston, MA;
Holmdel, NJ or Bethlehem, PA. Salary Range: $ - $. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location and may be adjusted based on education, experience, knowledge and abilities. In addition to salary, the role may be eligible for annual, sales or other incentive compensation.
