The Desktop Engineering team plays a critical role in delivering a stable, secure and high‑performing end‑user computing experience across the organization, including the adoption of modern AI‑driven tools.
We are seeking a Desktop Engineer to join our team in a hands‑on technical role supporting the firm’s endpoint platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure and Microsoft
365 services. This position combines day‑to‑day engineering support with strategic project work.
- Administer and support endpoint management platforms including Intune and SCCM.
- Manage and maintain virtual desktop environments (Azure Virtual Desktop and/or VMware Horizon).
- Serve as a Tier3 escalation point for complex desktop, application and VDI issues.
- Develop and maintain Power Shell automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance troubleshooting, scripting and operational workflows.
- Support rollout, configuration and governance of AI‑enabled tools across the endpoint environment.
- Package, deploy and maintain applications across enterprise endpoints.
- Manage operating system and application patching to ensure compliance and security.
- Support Microsoft
365 services including One Drive and Office applications. - Ensure endpoint configurations align with firm security and compliance standards.
- Support hardware lifecycle management including Dell enterprise devices and tooling.
- Participate in engineering projects including system upgrades, migrations, AI adoption and new technology rollouts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- 5+ years of experience in desktop engineering or endpoint administration.
- Hands‑on experience with Intune and/or SCCM.
- Experience supporting Windows
10 and Windows
11 environments. - Familiarity with VDI platforms such as Azure Virtual Desktop or VMware Horizon.
- Proficiency in Power Shell scripting.
- Experience supporting Microsoft
365 services including One Drive and Office applications. - Understanding of EntraID and identity‑based device management.
- Experience with application packaging and deployment.
- Familiarity or interest in AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and their use in enterprise environments.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working in a security and compliance‑focused environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Dell hardware and enterprise tools is a plus.
- Drive the transition to pipeline‑based software packaging and lifecycle automation, complemented by experience with tools such as Power Shell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) and Patch
MyPC.
Base salary range: $120,000–$310,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
