Salary - $130,000 - $140,000 + Bonus + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure
. This role is critical in modernizing our infrastructure, enabling application teams, and establishing best practices across cloud architecture, automation, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and evolve Azure-based cloud platforms to meet business and application requirements.
- Translate technical and business needs into secure, scalable Azure solutions aligned with best practices.
- Lead architectural decisions spanning networking, compute, storage, identity, and container platforms (including AKS).
- Drive discussions around scalability, performance, availability, disaster recovery, security, and compliance.
- Provide guidance on cloud adoption, migrations, and platform optimization.
- Serve as a technical advisor to ensure cloud platforms integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
- Lead Azure initiatives from initial design through deployment and ongoing operations.
- Build and manage Azure resources such as virtual networks, storage accounts, databases, AKS, Azure AD, and related services.
- Design and maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Partner with software engineering, Dev Ops, and operations teams to enable automated deployments and reliable platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand platform needs and deliver scalable, well‑architected solutions.
- Implement Azure security, governance, and compliance best practices, including RBAC and data protection.
- Continuously monitor platform health and optimize for cost, performance, and reliability.
- Establish standards, policies, and tools to streamline platform management and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing and supporting Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience with automation and IaC tools such as Power Shell, ARM Templates, Azure CLI, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and tools (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of cloud networking, security, data protection, and compliance.
- Experience working with routers, switches, load balancers, wireless technologies, and SD‑WAN.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
The base salary range for this role is $130,000 – $140,000 annually for candidates based in Boston, MA. Final compensation may vary based on experience, skills, internal equity, and location.
