Senior IT Business Analyst

The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst for a 6‑month consulting opportunity supporting a leading university environment in Boston, MA. This is a high‑impact hybrid role supporting enterprise technology initiatives, system integrations, infrastructure projects, and cross‑functional business transformation efforts.

This position is ideal for a strategic and hands‑on Business Analyst who thrives in complex IT environments and enjoys partnering with both technical and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, sustainable technology solutions.

• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements
• Analyze current‑state business processes, systems, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities
• Translate business needs into detailed specifications, user stories, and technical requirements
• Develop business process documentation, workflow diagrams, systems maps, and data flow documentation

• Lead initiatives involving:
• APIs
• Middleware
• System integrations
• Data exchanges between platforms and vendors
• Facilitate solution design sessions with cross‑functional teams
• Ensure infrastructure, security, and integration considerations are incorporated into solution planning
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise architecture standards

• Participate in vendor evaluations, RFP processes, and implementation planning
• Support QA and UAT activities including:
• Test case development
• Validation testing
• Workflow verification
• Monitor post‑implementation performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist in driving project timelines, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution

• Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to BA best practices, standards, and documentation frameworks
• Communicate effectively with leadership, project teams, and external vendors

• 5+ years of IT Business Analysis experience in complex enterprise environments
• Strong experience gathering and documenting:
  • Business requirements
  • Functional requirements
  • Technical requirements
• Experience supporting enterprise system integrations and cross‑functional technology initiatives
• Strong understanding of:
  • APIs
  • Middleware
  • Data integration concepts
  • Enterprise applications
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure, engineering, and security teams
• Ability to create:

• Experience mentoring junior Business Analysts

Pay: $69.93–$90.91 per hour DOE
