Data Analyst
Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is recruiting a Model Risk Senior Analyst to join our Enterprise Model Risk Management (EMRM) team within Operational Risk. EMRM applies advanced concepts in econometrics, financial forecasting, balance sheet management, capital liquidity, and financial regulatory requirements to evaluate firm-wide models, machine learning algorithms, and Gen‑AI use cases, playing a key role in the firm’s AI governance framework.
Responsibilities- Lead and/or contribute to model validation engagements, including scoping, test planning, milestones, and stakeholder coordination.
- Design and execute validation testing to assess model performance and controls.
- Interpret testing results, identify issues, and develop clear, actionable observations and recommendations.
- Draft validation reports and executive summaries for senior audiences and Oversight Committees.
- Oversee tracking and monitoring of remediation activities.
- Ensure project documentation is consistent with EMRM standards for content, clarity, and auditability.
- Recommend enhancements to Model Risk policies, procedures, and standards.
- Contribute to evolving Gen‑AI and LLM‑focused model validation methodologies.
- Build effective working relationships across business, compliance, and technology teams.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in computer science (or a related field);
Master’s degree preferred. - Demonstrated programming skills in languages such as Python, R, SQL for data modeling.
- Experience in data analysis techniques and metrics; knowledge of relational database technologies using SQL is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, SQL, or low/no‑code/LLM tools for data modeling and/or large‑scale data analysis projects.
- Strong writing and briefing technical findings to diverse audiences.
- Background in computer programming and quantitative modeling, with the ability to grasp risk management principles.

MA: $100,000 - $150,000 base salary + annual target bonus
