Job Purpose

The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and integration of STAG Industrial's core financial systems including MRI, Nexus, PredictAP, Versapay, and Realogic. This role partners closely with Accounting, Operations, and the broader Data, Analytics & Technology (DAT) team to ensure these systems are stable, well configured, properly integrated, and continuously improving to support the business. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on technical aptitude with strong business systems sense, a service mindset, and a commitment to using modern AI tools to multiply their impact.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the day-to-day owner and subject matter expert for STAG's financial and operational systems: MRI (financial ERP), Nexus (AP), PredictAP (invoice intake and coding), Versapay (AR and payments), and Realogic (budgeting and forecasting).
  • Administer system configuration, user provisioning, permissions, and security, partnering with the VP, Data & Analytics to maintain Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance across the financial systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships for each system: coordinate support tickets, releases, and upgrades; participate in vendor roadmap and planning discussions.
  • Partner with Accounting and Operations to gather requirements, configure new modules, and improve existing workflows.
  • Maintain and improve the integrations between these systems and STAG's data warehouse, Power BI, and Quickbase using SQL, the Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Data Factory, and Power Automate.
  • Troubleshoot data, configuration, and integration issues across financial systems and the data warehouse / ETL pipelines that feed them and adjacent business reporting; collaborate with the DAT team and vendors to drive resolution.
  • Document system configurations, integrations, runbooks, and standard operating procedures so STAG's institutional knowledge is durable.
  • Leverage Claude as a daily multiplier for documentation, troubleshooting, query writing, and process improvement.
  • Stay current on vendor roadmap updates; recommend and implement improvements aligned with STAG's DAT strategy.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a BA/BS is required, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience administering or implementing financial, ERP, or AP/AR systems in a corporate environment. Real estate industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience with one or more of: MRI, Yardi, Nexus, PredictAP, Versapay, or comparable financial platforms.
  • Intermediate level SQL is required; experience reading and writing queries against a data warehouse.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft data stack, including Power Platform, Azure, Power Automate, and Fabric, with a willingness to learn what you don't already know.
  • Experience supporting SOX‑compliant systems and operating within formal change‑management processes is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to accelerate real work such as writing and debugging SQL, drafting documentation, and problem solving, with the judgment to validate AI output before relying on it.
  • Detail‑oriented team player with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and good organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for nontechnical stakeholders across Accounting and Operations.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to rapidly learn complex systems and operate independently.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the real estate field is a plus.
