Overview

The Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) Technology Director will serve as the strategic technology leader supporting the Commercial CGT business unit, shaping and executing the data, technology, and AI roadmap that enables the business to scale global operations effectively.
Responsibilities- Serve as a strategic technology partner for the Commercial Cell and Gene Therapy business unit.
- Define and lead the data, technology, and AI roadmap to support business growth and global operational scale.
- Act as the primary liaison and trusted advisor between the business and Data, Technology & Engineering.
- Shape, prioritize, and manage the project portfolio to align with strategic business goals and enterprise technology priorities.
- Oversee large project execution, ensuring delivery against scope, timeline, budget, and expectations.
- Translate business strategies and operational needs into actionable technology initiatives and solution roadmaps.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across DTE, Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality and others.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data, digital platforms, and AI capabilities to improve decision‑making, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Drive governance, planning, and communication processes for technology investments and program delivery.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Monitor evolving business needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the technology strategy.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision‑making at senior leadership levels.
- Strong understanding of data, enterprise technology platforms, and AI‑enabled business solutions.
- Ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision‑making skills.
- Commercial technology and GxP system expertise, including experience with platforms such as Salesforce.
- Familiarity with regulated industry environments such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated experience with technology roadmap development, data strategy and enablement, AI and advanced analytics strategy, project portfolio management, program and project execution oversight, business relationship management, digital transformation leadership, cross‑functional stakeholder management, enterprise technology planning, governance and prioritization frameworks, scalable global operations support, technology‑business alignment, and budget management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field or relevant experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant leadership experience in business engagement, technology strategy, digital transformation, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to define and deliver technology roadmaps tied to strategic outcomes.
- Proven success managing complex project portfolios and leading cross‑functional technology initiatives.
- Experience serving as a primary business partner or relationship manager for technology functions.
- Experience overseeing project execution in a matrixed, global organization.
- Experience supporting Commercial, Cell and Gene Therapy, or Hematology‑focused business functions.
- Experience with global technology deployments and change management.
- Demonstrated Salesforce experience (Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud experience a big plus).
$198,000 - $297,000
Flex EligibilityHybrid‑Eligible or On‑Site Eligible. In this Hybrid‑Eligible role, you may work remotely up to two days per week or select five days per week on‑site with ad hoc flexibility.
