AI Platform Manager | Boston, MA (Hybrid) | $130,000 – $170,000 + bonus + benefits
We are partnering with a leading global professional services organisation to hire an Enterprise AI Platform Manager to lead the ownership, optimisation, and evolution of their enterprise AI tool ecosystem.
This is a newly created role within a growing Business Technology function, offering the opportunity to shape how AI platforms are evaluated, implemented, and managed within a large, sophisticated environment.
The RoleAs the Enterprise AI Platform Manager, you will act as the primary owner of enterprise AI tools, overseeing their full lifecycle from evaluation through implementation and ongoing optimisation.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, security, legal, compliance, and AI-focused groups to ensure platforms are deployed effectively, governed appropriately, and delivering measurable value to the business.
This is a hands‑on, technically engaged role with a strong operational and product‑oriented focus, rather than pure AI strategy ownership.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage the enterprise AI platform ecosystem, including configuration, capabilities, and vendor relationships
- Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of AI tools (evaluation, selection, implementation, optimisation)
- Conduct technical assessments of new tools, features, and integrations
- Provide guidance on platform capabilities, limitations, and implementation considerations
- Monitor platform usage, licensing, cost, and performance to identify optimisation opportunities
- Act as an escalation point for complex platform issues and coordinate with vendors
- Partner with IT, security, legal, and governance teams to ensure compliant and effective use of AI tools
- Translate AI capabilities into practical applications, demonstrations, and business use cases
- Produce structured evaluation and recommendation materials for stakeholders
- Stay current on AI vendor developments, product roadmaps, and emerging capabilities
- Coordinate with training and communications teams to support adoption and enablement
- Manage and develop a junior specialist, setting priorities and ensuring delivery
- Approximately 5–7 years’ experience across SaaS platforms, IT systems, or technology product ownership
- Experience managing or administering enterprise platforms (AI tools exposure preferred)
- Strong understanding of platform configuration, integrations, access controls, and vendor ecosystems
- Hands‑on familiarity with AI tools and their practical business applications
- Ability to evaluate tools across technical, operational, and business dimensions
- Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders (e.g. IT, security, compliance, business teams)
- Vendor management experience, including escalations and roadmap discussions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly
- Organised, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast‑evolving space
- Direct experience with tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, or similar
- Exposure to governance or risk considerations within enterprise technology environments
- Prior people management or mentoring experience
