Software Licensing SpecialistReports to: Sales License Compliance, Senior Director
Location: Boston, MA - Hybrid
Your ImpactThe Software Licensing Specialist will execute advisory engagements to provide education and guidance around the proper use and management of PTC software. They will also conduct usage assessments to understand a customer's position with respect to their existing product entitlements and deployed PTC software. This customer-facing position will need to coordinate with a variety of internal and external contacts to obtain relevant data, validate and present assessment findings, negotiate fair resolutions, and close engagements in a timely and professional manner.
As a representative of PTC, the individual will need to serve as a credible source for licensing knowledge and business practices.
PTC's License Compliance and Advisory Services is a global organization chartered to protect PTC's intellectual property by delivering services to manage and promote the proper use of PTC Products.
Your Day-To-Day- Executes high quality and professional software license program activities (Advisory, Usage Assessment, and Anti-piracy) with the timely accomplishment of project plan goals to gain a thorough understanding of a customers' PTC product usage and provide accurate licensing guidance
- Actively builds and maintains relationships with Legal, Finance, Operations, Sales, Partners, and Customers by establishing trust through accurate knowledge sharing, licensing guidance, and transparent engagement activities
- Effectively manages expectations of stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and progresses engagements through active listening and persuasively articulating, both verbally and written, status and direction, while bringing compliance issues to successful resolution
- Demonstrates balanced, impartial, and timely judgment when making decisions on the customer engagement
- Qualifies potential engagements to determine most effective strategy, scope, and approach through data mining, interpretation of license agreements, analysis of transaction history, and understanding customer relationship
- Self-motivates to independently achieve personal and team objectives
- Ability to interact diplomatically and professionally with internal and external customers
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to plan and execute effectively to meet business objectives
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Management Information Systems, Computer Science
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of the software commercial lifecycle as well as software licensing, support and legal processes preferred
The total annual compensation for this position is between $70,000 - $93,000. The total annual compensation range encompasses both the base salary and the on-target earnings that may be attained in this role.
