Overview
This role can be located anywhere within the US.
As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will help accelerate our growing healthcare AI/ML business as part of the World Wide Public Sector group. You will shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS EBS) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers.
Your broad responsibilities include leveraging your domain expertise in healthcare AI/ML to: own the technical engagement and ultimate success of specific global customer implementation projects; define implementation architectures, build prototypes, develop deep expertise in the AWS technologies; and be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to healthcare AI/ML.
As a member of the team, you will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the global healthcare market for cloud computing, while working with a world‑class sales and business development team. You will act as a global technical leader on medical imaging within AWS, building and leading internal communities to deliver for healthcare organizations and software vendors. You will gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.
Travel: you must be able to travel 30% of the time.

- Designing and creating system architectures using cloud computing
- Deep‑dive technical discussions around design and an intellectual curiosity to always keep your technical skills current while maintaining a pulse on healthcare industry trends
With experience in the following key areas:
- Executive speaking and technical presentation skills – white board, small and large group presentations
- Technical – healthcare AI/ML development/deployment, architecture, and/or cloud computing experience
- Operational – IT services operations, management, and security
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience working within software development or Internet‑related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

Salary ranges vary by location. For example, positions in Glendale, CA have a range of $131,300–$177,600 annually; positions in San Francisco, CA range $151,000–$204,300; positions in Atlanta, GA $131,300–$177,600;
Chicago, IL $131,300–$177,600;
Boston, MA $131,300–$177,600;
Charlotte, NC $131,300–$177,600;
New York, NY $144,500–$195,400;
Austin, TX $131,300–$177,600;
Seattle, WA $131,300–$177,600.
