Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the migration of a legacy sales and distribution data platform to Broadridge Sales Vision within a global asset management environment.
This role will focus on data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and gap analysis between the legacy platform and Broadridge Sales Vision. The Business Analyst will partner with business stakeholders, data teams, technology teams, and Broadridge representatives to ensure that data is accurately mapped, validated, and transitioned to the target platform.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis and data analysis capabilities with experience supporting complex platform migrations. The individual should be comfortable analyzing database tables, documenting source-to-target mappings, defining validation rules, and identifying functional or data-related gaps between systems.
This role will play an important part in improving the quality, completeness, and usability of sales and distribution data while supporting a successful transition to Broadridge Sales Vision.
Key Responsibilities- Support the migration of sales and distribution data from a legacy platform to Broadridge Sales Vision.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the data structures, business processes, and reporting requirements supported by both platforms.
- Identify differences in data models, functionality, and business rules between the legacy and target systems.
- Partner with Broadridge and internal stakeholders to document and resolve identified migration gaps.
- Support migration planning, execution, testing, and post-implementation validation.
- Gather and document business, functional, and data requirements from sales, distribution, operations, data governance, and technology stakeholders.
- Produce detailed source-to-target data mappings between legacy data structures and Broadridge Sales Vision.
- Analyze database tables, fields, relationships, reference data, and business rules.
- Define transformation logic required to align legacy data with the Sales Vision target model.
- Document data definitions, ownership, lineage, and authoritative sources.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform data profiling to identify missing values, duplicates, inconsistencies, and formatting issues.
- Define data-quality rules and validation controls for migrated data.
- Validate newly created tables, fields, and data structures against agreed business requirements.
- Analyze data populations before and after migration to confirm completeness and accuracy.
- Support root-cause analysis and remediation of data-quality issues.
- Work with data owners to establish processes for resolving data exceptions.
- Perform reconciliation between the legacy platform and Broadridge Sales Vision.
- Identify data, process, reporting, and functionality gaps between the two platforms.
- Assess the business impact and priority of identified gaps.
- Maintain gap-analysis logs, data-issue trackers, and remediation plans.
- Partner with internal technology teams and Broadridge to define appropriate solutions.
- Confirm that gaps have been addressed through testing and validation.
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, and expected results for data migration and platform integration activities.
- Support system integration testing, data validation testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Coordinate defect investigation and resolution across business, technology, and vendor teams.
