Lead BI Engineer will serve as the primary technical leader responsible for defining and governing our clients business intelligence (BI) platform and the data and analytics architecture that supports it. This position drives innovation in BI and analytics capabilities, ensures alignment with enterprise data and analytics strategy, and leads initiatives that enhance data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.
Responsibilities- Define and establish enterprise‑wide BI architecture, standards, and best practices.
- Oversee BI platform performance, ensure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance.
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing support of scalable data pipelines and data acquisition approaches.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends, and recommends adoption to improve BI capabilities.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, engineering and business teams to deliver integrated data solutions.
- Influence and contribute to enterprise data strategy, governance frameworks, and policies.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Data and Analytics team members, fostering innovation and professional growth.
- Ensures data and analytics initiatives support organizational goals and deliver measurable business value.
- Deep expertise in BI architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data strategy.
- Expert‑level proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms;
Snowflake experience preferred. - Demonstrated expertise in architecting, implementing, and maintaining scalable data integrations with Salesforce ecosystems.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to drive innovation and implement modern BI solutions aligned with business goals.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision‑making skills.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in BI engineering, data architecture, or enterprise data roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading BI initiatives and shaping enterprise data strategy.
- Proven experience mentoring and developing technical teams.
- Hands‑on experience developing and supporting data pipelines and data ingestion frameworks.
- Experience working with modern BI platforms, cloud data technologies, and analytics tools such as Tableau/Power BI.
- Financial institution and member/customer research experience desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
