Role Overview

A&M’s Global Transaction Analytics (GTA) practice, within our Transaction Advisory Group, offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑growing team across North America. In the Director role, you will leverage data analytics to uncover actionable insights that support M&A, divestment, and investment strategy, guiding clients through the full investment lifecycle from pre‑deal to post‑deal analysis.

How You Will Contribute

As a Director, you will work closely with a high‑motivated and effective team on diverse projects across multiple industries—including manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, restaurants, business and industrial services, healthcare, software & technology, energy, and financial services. Your expertise will enable clients to achieve data‑enabled business, financial, and operational transparency during pre‑acquisition due diligence and post‑acquisition performance improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead numerous client engagements
  • Effectively manage day‑to‑day client interaction and relationships
  • Proactively contribute to business development opportunities
  • Manage and prioritize team responsibilities; consult with senior members across multiple deals
  • Work cohesively and collaboratively across stakeholders
  • Counsel and mentor junior members, continually developing the team’s technical acumen
  • Recruit, train, and develop junior staff members, including teaching training classes as applicable
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in data analytics or transaction services, with buy‑side/vendor due diligence experience across industries preferred and understanding of M&A/PE investment lifecycle preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Understanding of data extraction, manipulation, analytics, and visualization approaches
  • Strong technical background with hands‑on data analytics experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, relational databases/SQL, Alteryx, business intelligence/visualization (Tableau preferred), big data, and machine learning concepts; ability to leverage business intelligence software
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear yet concise manner
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work as both a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor
  • Ability to thrive and be effective in fast‑paced settings

Base salary is $200,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week also receive fringe benefits—healthcare plans, flexible spending & savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverage—at rates determined periodically, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Eligible employees receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k).

Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours sick time (prorated for part‑time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
