Job Description

A leading quantitative investment firm based in Boston is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to shape and deliver cloud security strategy in a collaborative Dev Sec Ops  environment. In this position, you’ll set the vision and take ownership over implementing robust security controls for AWS cloud platforms, combining both high‑level leadership and hands‑on technical execution.

You will engineer scalable cloud automation, analyze and advance cybersecurity risk posture, and partner across architecture, engineering, and technology teams to ensure best‑in‑class cloud security practices and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to drive architecture discussions, guide continuous improvement, and educate team members and leadership on cloud security best practices while operating at the cutting edge of financial technology.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience securing AWS cloud environments with native, open source, and commercial security solutions
  • Deep knowledge of AWS Security tools and concepts (e.g., SCP, KMS, Guard Duty, Security Hub, IAM, VPCE, Macie, Inspector)
  • Expertise in Python (Boto3 or similar libraries) and Cloud Formation for automation and integration
  • Experience securing containers, Kubernetes stacks, and SDLC pipelines
  • Understanding of vulnerability management, endpoint and runtime detection/prevention for cloud workloads
  • Exceptional collaboration skills across engineering, architecture, and leadership groups
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication abilities
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Terraform or similar automation frameworks
  • Background in routing, switching, or general networking
  • Familiarity with micro‑systems such as EKS, ECS
  • Record of operating incident response or CSIRT responsibilities
  • Ability to instruct or influence senior stakeholders on technical decision‑making
Daily Responsibilities
  • 100% Hands On
  • Develop and troubleshoot workflows for collecting, cleaning, and organizing sensor data.
  • Build and refine ML models for real‑time device applications and performance improvements
  • Work closely with firmware teams to embed and test AI features on hardware platforms
  • Set up and oversee tools for tracking experiments, automating evaluations and managing deployments
  • Analyze model behavior, ensure reliability and resolve issues to maintain high‑quality outputs
