We're seeking an experienced Technical Solution Architect to join the eProcurement Transformation Initiative (EPIC). This is an exciting opportunity to help design and deliver a next-generation procurement platform that will modernize how state agencies, vendors, and the public interact with procurement services.
This is more than a system implementation—you'll help shape a scalable, cloud-enabled, user-centered platform that leverages modern architecture, AI-enabled development practices, integrations, and digital transformation strategies.
What You'll Do- Lead solution architecture across enterprise applications, integrations, cloud, security, data, reporting, and analytics.
- Translate business and user needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Define architecture standards, integration patterns, and implementation roadmaps.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX teams, engineers, business stakeholders, security teams, and vendors.
- Review vendor solution designs and ensure alignment with business goals, security, accessibility, and Commonwealth standards.
- Drive legacy system modernization, cloud migration, API strategy, and enterprise integrations.
- Support data migration, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and cutover planning.
- Promote best practices around architecture governance, documentation, automated testing, security-by-design, and maintainable engineering.
- Evaluate AI-assisted development, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies within enterprise governance frameworks.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities throughout project delivery.
- 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Enterprise Applications, Systems Implementation, IT Delivery, or Technology Architecture
- 5+ years as a:
Technical Solution Architect;
Technical Lead;
Engineering Lead - Experience with:
Enterprise cloud applications; APIs & system integrations;
Accessibility standards;
Cross-functional stakeholder collaboration; AI-assisted development or Generative AI tools
- Public Sector or Government projects
- Procurement or ERP platforms
- Grants, Licensing, Benefits, or Workflow-driven enterprise applications
