A well-established professional services firm is seeking a Financial Systems Administrator to join its Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the bridge between Finance, IT, and business users, keeping financial systems running smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
In this role, you'll own the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the firm's financial and practice management systems. You'll manage configurations, reporting, integrations, and user support, while also driving data integrity and ongoing system enhancements.
What you'll do:
- Administer and maintain systems across billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, trust accounting, and practice management
- Configure system settings, workflows, user roles, and security permissions
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage upgrades, patches, and implementations
- Serve as a technical leader across a modern financial systems stack, including tools comparable to Elite 3E, expense management platforms, time and billing systems, and BI/reporting tools like Power BI
- Build reports, manage data imports and exports, and design interfaces between systems
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and modernize the technology stack
- Support financial systems projects, including upgrades, automation initiatives, and new product selection and implementation
- Partner closely with Finance leadership to recommend solutions and improve efficiency
- Support audits and year-end processing
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, accounting, finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience supporting financial systems, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong hands-on experience with financial/ERP platforms common in the legal industry
- Solid SQL and database skills, advanced Excel, and experience with BI tools and system integrations
- Comfort working in client/server and database environments
- Experience supporting a cloud migration for a financial system is a plus
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build trust with attorneys and business professionals
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving with strong attention to detail
- Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information
This role offers a hybrid schedule, with a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
