Azure Architect

This role will report to our Head of Cloud & Database Operations in the Information Technology group. This individual will be a contributor in a small focused team providing Cloud Solutions support, leveraging Microsoft Azure Infrastructure, Azure Security Center, Windows/Linux OS, and Palo Alto technologies. The primary focus would be to enhance and maintain the firm's Azure Infrastructure, as well as, provide Cloud administrator functions involving security, infrastructure, automation scheduling, supporting internal research projects, and various other functions.

Responsibilities:

• Advise stakeholders and translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.
• Work directly with Azure UI to implement and monitor Azure infrastructure;
  
  Support, troubleshoot, and apply Azure best practices across prod/stage/dev environments;
  
  Identify and tune Azure performance issues within a given workload;
  
  Create policy rules to automate administrative tasks such patching and alerts;
  
  Provide administrative tasks within Active Directory to support user access to Azure;
  
  Maintain and optimize hardware resources of Azure virtual machines;
  
  Availability to monitor, respond and resolve after hours requests for Azure support.

Professional

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in technology or applicable technical training/certification required;
• At least 8-10 years of direct Azure knowledge and experience (installation, configuration, performance tuning, security, maintenance);
• Strong knowledge of Azure Security best practices;
• Experience with AWS or other virtualization/cloud technologies is a plus;
• Financial industry knowledge or experience is a plus;
